July 22, The Cabot Trail

Okay, all the talk and constant joking about moose and the only moose we see are the ones on the signs warning us about the moose!!  Well all that changed in Cape Breton.  We were climbing and climbing and climbing the Cabot Trail through fog and when we got to the top, the fog cleared.  As I was looking through some trees, I saw two moose in a clearing eating.  I could not believe my luck and while I was trying to convince Walter to turn around to have a look, we both saw another one!!  Unvbelievable - 3 moose at once - so cool.   The Cabot Trail is absolutely stunning.  Really, unless you have seen it for yourself you cannot begin to comprehend how amazing it is because I cannot begin to do any justice for it with any sort of explaination.  Suffice to say, everyone should see the Cabot Trail - we would like to come back and drive it in the opposite direction.  A couple of times I looked over my shoulder to see what people were looking at and it was just as breath taking.  And I would like to see it in the winter.  Then we headed for the ferry to go from North Sydney to The Rock!!  I will post lots of photos of Newfoundland once we reach the end in another day or so.
